The first camp of the 2024 Own Touch Summer Camp season will be the Summer Kick off Camp!

This camp, open to boys and girls ages 7-14 of all skill levels, will be hosted at the Own Touch Central location. This camp is all about fun competition! We're excited to incorporate some technical training that players may have never seen before.

Players can expect to cover a broad range of skills required of today's soccer player. Skill focus includes touch on the ball, footwork and balance, speed and agility, passing, shooting, defending, and much, much more.

Younger players ages will be broken up into a separate group depending upon skill level. This camp is one of our most popular so be sure to sign-up early!

The Own Touch Travel Camp uniquely combines both aspects of traditional technical soccer training with fast-paced, small-sided game play. This camp will be open only to travel athletes ages 8-14 in the Central Virginia area. Those in attendance can expect a morning session packed full of speed and agility training, constant touches on the ball, and training drills in which players are pushed beyond their normal comfort zone. After lunch, players will be broken up into small groups where they will participate in defending scenarios, 1v1 offensive situations, and small-sided scrimmage play. During this camp players are encouraged to try new things and will be expected to compete in scenarios they may have never seen before. This camp will be challenging, but highly beneficial for those in attendance.

Shooting and Finishing Camp is a unique training program that focuses on one of the most exciting and important aspects in the game of soccer - SCORING GOALS!
This training program will focus on all the key skills required to be a top goal scorer and will help players improve their finishing ability in all different situations. Our shooting & finishing program is not just for strikers but for all players that want to improve their goal scoring ability. Each session players will spend time focusing on different aspects of shooting and finishing, with players being constantly challenged in different situations in and around the penalty area. The Soccer Moves & Match Play Camp will improve a player’s overall ball handling skills, passing, shooting, etc. Speed and Agility with and without the ball will be taught to improve a player's mobility, balance and quick reaction to situational changes during a practice or game. The first 5-6 yards being able to move explosively in a game are critical to winning or losing the ball. Players will be grouped appropriately by age and skill level. In the afternoon, players will have the opportunity to showcase new ideas with match play. Campers will play, all afternoon, in a structured environment with Own Touch coaches' guidance.

This Own Touch 3-day Attack and Defend Camp will focus on skills, skills, skills! children ages 7-13 will be challenged to try new drills, tricks and skills each day

What is attacking and defending?

• Attack make a forceful attempt to score a goal or point or otherwise gain an advantage against an opposing team or player. 

• Defend protect one's goal or wicket rather than attempt to score against one's opponents. This camp will focus on these areas. 

Mornings will be dedicated to technical aspects of Attacking and Defending. Afternoons using those skills in Match play. 

Campers can expect to get at least 20,000 touches on the ball.
This camp will offer fun competitions, exciting experiences, and best of all...results! Players will be broken up into smaller groups depending upon age and skill level.

VCU Men's Soccer, along with Own Touch and FutsalRVA will host the 2024 Tiki-Taka Training Camp

Unique Camp Staff and Special Guests
VCU Men's Head Coach Dave Giffard, will once again provide an incredible camp experience for boys and girls ages 8-14. Players can expect to be joined by VCU players current and past, as well as Own Touch Mentors and coaches.

Coach Giffard has an immense track record for soccer excellence. He hast spent time coaching at some of the top men's collegiate soccer programs in the country including VCU, Indiana, and Akron. Coach Giffard comes to this camp with an expansive knowledge of the game and a great ability to train players from all walks of life, in all aspects of the game. With National Championship appearances and titles, these coaches are futsal experts and know how to develop the technical game of Richmond's players.

The Tiki-Taka Training Camp will uniquely combine both aspects of traditional outdoor soccer and the fast-paced futsal you see all across the world. During the morning session, players will be split into age-appropriate groups to train on the training fields and courts. Players will focus on soccer-specific techniques such as shooting, passing, technical control of the ball, defensive positioning, offensive attacking, juggling, and so much more! After lunch, players will pick up the pace a bit and start rotating through futsal games and training. Players will participate in training designed to help develop fast/accurate passing, proper movement off the ball, and better knowledge of defending and attacking in man-down and equal-sided situations.

The Middle School camp is open to rising and current middle school students looking for challenging, skill-oriented technical sessions, leading up to small-sided scrimmage play.
