Team Training
Own Touch Team Training is designed for teams looking to strengthen individual technical ability while improving how those skills connect to the collective game.
Developing the Player Within the Team
Sessions are built around the Own Touch Methodology, combining technical development, decision-making, game-relevant activities, and small-sided play in a structured training environment.
Team development begins with better individual players. Our coaches focus on technical areas such as:
- Ball mastery and first touch
- Passing & receiving
- Dribbling and 1v1 situations
- Shooting & finishing
- Movement and support off the ball
- Decision-making under pressure
- Communication and awareness
Players are challenged to execute these actions within increasingly realistic situations so they can better understand how individual technique contributes to team performance.
Connecting Technique to Team Play
Technical work is progressively connected to the demands of the game through small-sided activities and team-based scenarios.
Depending on the needs of the group, sessions may address:
- Possession and support
- Creating and using space
- Attacking and defensive transitions
- Combination play
- Pressing and recovering
- Movement off the ball
- Communication and team organization
The objective is not simply to run through exercises, but to help players recognize situations, make decisions, and apply their technical ability within the context of the team.
Coach Collaboration
Team Training can also serve as a development opportunity for the team's coach.
We encourage coaches to be actively involved in the session alongside the Own Touch staff. This allows us to share the purpose behind the activities, discuss coaching points, and provide ideas that can be incorporated into future team practices.
Our goal is to support not only the players during the session, but also the continued development of the team environment after the session ends.
